oh no. The wind is blowing so strong. It's really getting bad now. I hope it passes quickly.
These aren't raindropsfalling from sky , they are new coins. The big drops are ten cent pieces and the little ones are fives.
THESE ARE THE THREE MAIN CHARECTERS OF THE STORY. NOW, LETS TAKE A LOOK AT THE STORY .
SCENE 2
All our work for nothing.there is no one who can help us.
A plague of locusts would have left more than this. The hail has left nothing. Thus year we have no corn.
Lencho, the hardworking farmer's house sat on the crest of a low hill and was the only one in the entire valley. From this height one could see the river and the field of ripe corn dotted with flowers that promised a good harvest. But there was still a thing the earth needed, a downpour or atleast a shower.
SCENE 3
I'm sure god will definitely help me to overcome this.He is my last and only hope
Just as Lencho expected and had predicted, big drops of rain began to fall. Lencho went out to his fields just to feel the rain on his body. He exclaimed in joy.
SCENE 4
This is so funny. Sir, take a look. A LETTER TO GOD. Never in my carrer I have known this address.
I wish I too had the faith of the man who wrote this letter. Stroung enough to start a correspondence with god. I appreciate his faith. We definitely have to help him.
The wind didn't pass as quickly as lencho wanted.Along with the strong wind big hailstones began to fall. these truly resembled new silver coins. The hail lasted for an hour raining over the house, the garden, the cornfield, on the whole valley. The field was white, as if covered with salt. The crops were completely destroyed filling Lencho's soul with sadness. When the storm passed , he stood in the middle of the field and exclaimed -
We'll all go hungry this year.
Eventhough he consoled his family with positive words, that day all through the night , Lencho thought only thought of his only hope: the help of GOD. So the following sunday he wrote a letter to god asking him to send a hundred pesos in order to sow his crops again till the next harvest and to protect his family from starving. He wrote 'TO GOD' on the envolope and posted it.
TO GOD
A postman in the post office, when he saw the letter was addressed to god he bursted into laughter and also showed it to the postmaster. The post master was a fat, amiable and god fearing man. At first eventhough he laughed at the letter but later in order to preserve the man's faith in god the postmaster decided to help the man who wrote the letter i.e.,Lencho. He then gave a part of his salary and aslo asked his employees and friends to give something as a act of charity.
