  • Turtle Bayou Resolution
  • Evil Santa is against centralism too! We should support him so he will help us!
  • The arrest of SFA
  • Let me out!!!
  • the 2nd Anahuac
  • If you won't support us then you can't have us!!
  • Colonists figured that since Evil Santa was "against" centralism, they would support him and vote him into power. And then when they were finished they could discuss some needed changes. Unfortunately, Evil Santa was just using his "federalist" stance for power, and his plan would backfire. So while being mislead, they decided to pledge their loyalty to the Mexican government.
  • The Battle of Gonzales
  • Come and take it!
  • Steven F Austin goes to Mexico to try and talk to Evil Santa. Unfortunately, Evil Santa isn't there, and SFA gets tired of waiting. He writes a letter back to Texas saying Mexico doesn't have things together and they need to form their own government. Santa Anna meets up with him before knowing about the letter and agrees to get rid of the immigration laws. SFA tries to go home, but he is caught and arrested for writing the letter. This makes Texans very mad!
  • the Constitution of 1835
  • The colonist, who were already angry with the Mexican government before they came to collect taxes, refused to pay. Some colonists try to write an apology to Evil Santa's brother but he refuses it. He writes back trying to get them to rat out rebelling colonists, but they don't. They hold a vote to see if they should try for freedom or peace, and SFA votes for freedom.
  • The Convention of 1836
  • INDEPENDENCE!
  • The Mexican government asked the people of Gonzales to give them their canon, but they wouldn't give it to them. They put up the iconic come and take it flag and defeated the Mexican army. It was a short but important battle because it helped start the Texas-Mexican revolution.
  • After the battle of Gonzales, a group of Texans meet at Washington on the Bravos and decided to vote and see if Texas would declare independence. The peace party won and they pledged allegiance to Mexico, but they also opposed Santa Anna which had its consequences.
  • In 1836 Texans meet again at Washington on the Brazos and they are now trying to establish their independence while Evil Santa fights at the Alamo. George Childress writes the Texas Constitution, and they make a list of reasons why they weren't happy with the Mexican rule. Every single Texan dies at the Alamo, and this fuels Texas into their fight with Mexico.
