- Hi I'm Mighty the mitosis cell. Today I will be teaching you all about mitosis. Mitosis happens in the second stage of the cell cycle. Mitosis is the process of cell division where the nucleus divides into two nuclei. But before mitosis happens is interphases where the cell cycle occurs between cell division. Now let's begin!
- As you can see here I am in the first stage of mitosis called prophase. Prophase is where the chromosomes, which had been thin and threadlike in interphase, begin to condense or thicken.
- Now I'm in the second stage of mitosis. This phase is called Metaphase this is where the genetic material is condensing into chromosomes. The chromosomes then become visible. During this stage the nucleus disappears and chromosomes appear in the cell's cytoplasm
- BYE!!!!
- BAM! We are now in the 3rd phase of mitosis =. This phase is called Anaphase where the process that separates the duplicated genetic material carried in the nucleus parent cell and divided into to daughter cells. Then the separate chromosomes are pulled by the spindle to opposite poles of the cell.
- Last phase of Mitosis is Telophase and that is where we are now. Telophase is where the cell forms two nuclear membranes around each set of chromosomes and the chromosomes uncoil.
- Lastly Cytokinesis the last stage. Itr is where the cell splits into two equal halves and the cells become two daughter cells.
