Well we won't be doing well with another one of these rulers, we practically have no rights, and still barely any food
Life in France (Ancien Regime)
Get your vegetables!
OMG!?! it's poor people how awful, imagine having to pay taxes!!
I know the bread is 5 euros but is there a way I could get it for 1 that's all we have after the taxes
I have my own taxes to pay so sorry I am truly sorry, but no
Financial Troubles
Father the wheat has barely come out of the ground we only have a fifth of our harvest what are going to do?
Son do not fret we will simply raise the prices for the bread because there is no other way to get our money for this harvest.
That doesn't seem fair were already taxed so much, this is very unfair
Louis XIV is crowned king by the Divine Right of King and the poor and middle class will continue to be taxed while the Church and Nobles live their life without being taxed, and enjoy their freedom.
Estates-General
Let's raise the taxes even more I need money for my farm and the king is fine with it!
The Church Members and Nobles who wouldn't be seen in a marketplace didn't need to pay taxes while the Middle class and poor people are left to pay the taxes with barely anything left, for bare necessities like food.
National Assembly and Tennis Court Oath
We declare ourselves the National Assembly and although we were kicked out of the Estate General we will vow to always to stay together until the king is gone
YES
The natural disaster ruining France's supply of wheat impacted the poor greatly because they had no food leading to the starvation of many because food prices had risen because of the shortage of wheat and decrease in bread production.

The King calls and Estates-General where each estate makes a list of complaints, the Third Estate could never make the rules they wanted because they were always outraged by the other two estates.
YES
In June of 1789 the Third Estate renamed themselves the National Assembly after their meeting hall was taken. They were forced to meet in a Tennis Court and there they agreed they would meet anywhere until their rights were met.
On July 14, 1789 the National Assembly broke into the Bastille thinking they would find guns and ammunition but instead they freed the prisoners. The Bastille represented the awful monarchy in France and when they broke in, it represented how the French weren't going to follow these unjust rulers with no rights. This day marks France's Independence Day.
