This represents man vs self by when he was marching to Gleiwitz on the way there he thinking about stoping and letting himself die. This shows man vs self by him fighting with himself to keep going. "The idea of dying, ceasing to be, began to fascinate me"(Wiesel 6).
This represent the conflict by when Elie has turned his back against god and isn't praying to him anymore because of the the things he has experienced and has gone through. "As for me, I had ceased to pray. I concurred with job. I was not denying his existence, but I doubted his absolute justice. (Wiesel 3).

This represents the conflict by it showing Elie vs the society by him having to face the end of the year and how bad it was. "The Jewish year was almost over. On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the last day of that cursed year, the entire camp was agitated and everyone felt the tension"(Wiesel 5).
