  • There is a difference bwtween being physically fit and athletic. You can be fit and not have athletic skill, and vice versa. When choosing physical activity you need to be aware of the environment, health conditions, your reason for participating, the weather, and a couple other things. If you are not dressed appropriately you could get heat stroke, hypothermia, or other things.
  • Caloric balance is based on how many calories you consume and how many you burn. The number of calories that are burned when keeping you alive is known as basal metabolic rate. You can burn calories through physical activity or really just any activity. Your metabolism is how fast your body turns calories into energy. Physical activity increase this and skipping meals decreases this.
