- The wife goes to her friends house to pick some jewelry to go with her dress, and at the party she has her husband wait four hours for her to get ready to go home.

- The climax of the story was when the wife lost her friends necklace and her husband spent all night searching for it while the wife spent the night sitting at home even though she was the one that lost it.
- The falling action of the story is when they had to move to a worse house and the husband was working two jobs to earn the money back for the necklace while the wife had to cook and clean to keep the house tidy.
- The wife told her friend the truth on how she lost her necklace and had earn it back, but then the friend told her that the necklace was fake.
