Bang!! Ahhhhhh!! What's happening to me? I'm expanding.
150 000 000 years
phew! That was exhausting but I have cooled down enough for clouds of gas called nebulae to form.
175 000 000 years
The clouds of gas have started to collapse in on itself and spin so they look kind of like a cosmic pancake.
200 000 000 years
In the middle of the pancake, it's extremely hot and pressurized. Once it reaches a certain pressure it will start to fuse the hydrogen and a new star is born.

Now look at this, there are galaxies. Galaxies form the same way as stars except instead of dust it was millions of stars. Pretty cool right?
Wow, that's a lot of information. Let's just take a step back and enjoy the beautiful universe.

Alright now let's zoom in a bit and see what is happening.
450 000 000 years
Now it's the present day and scientists have figured out that the universe is always expanding. They know because when a Galaxy is travelling away from us, the light is more stretched out than it should be. This is called redshift. All of the galaxies that we can see are moving away from us.
