- At the beginning of the book, Greg thinks that he is secretly being filmed on a T.V. show. The camera represents the hidden camera that he thinks is filming him for a TV show.
- Later in the book, Greg has to go to a special class to learn how to pronounce his R's. When he went to class the teacher told the class that they are going to have a big contest for a candy prize since it's Halloween.
- This is when Greg and his classmates released their balloons at the playground for the Halloween contest. Greg wants to win really bad because his mom won't let him have cany until Halloween night.
- The next day Greg's school announced that everyone is going to release ballons and whoever's goes further gets a jar of candy corn. In this scene, Greg goes to the kid's house that found his ballon to steal it and show the school to get the candy corn.
- This scene is when Greg wins the contest and gets a whole jar of candy corn. Greg takes it home and hides the jar from his brother.
- This scene is when Greg's pig finds the candy corn and eats all of it. His pig ends up getting really sick and vomiting up all of the candy corn.
