It was just another day of work, work, work in 509 B.C.E. nothing ever changes for us. the Patricians think they are the ones that should be in control. they don't even write down the laws so they can change them at their will. We don't even have the right to participate in the government. well, that is going to change, you'll see.
451 B.C.E.
367 B.C.E.
Since we take up about 95% of the population, we can hold all the cards in one fell swoop. They make us do all the labor and dirty work they would never want to do. So then If we had just left and refused to participate in our work duties things could change. In 494 B.C.E. we rebelled to get our equality that was well deserved.
From the hill we stood tall on we could see the Patricians in panic. Without us, they had to do their own bidding. That would not go well since they had just lost maybe 40 thousand people in the process of giving 95% of Rome inequality. We had left them with no other option than to comply with more equality in Rome.
As the years went on we started to gan our respect. By 451 B.C.E. we Patricians had agreed to have written tablets with the law on them so no changes could be made out of the ordinary. And then finally by 367 B.C.E. they accepted and a new law that states one of the two consuls must be a plebian. can you belive it after all our hard work we have finally gotten the equally that was lacked in Rome.
At this point in my life, I am an old and rugged soul on my way up. I hope to see my son tell my story. there are new and better things to come of for us plebians. My son has sought out to make sure the action of our people come through to bring justice and equality to Rome.
The son - We are finally here. our equality has come. finally, in 287 B.C.E The Patricians have made a law that plebians can now be part of new laws that are a part of Rome. After our 200 years of struggle, we have what we needed in Rome to be at our best with our equality standing tall. Rome is at its best.
