- Fought on 4/18/75, this battle kicked off the American Revolution. On the night of 04/18/75, hundreds of British troops marched from Boston to Concord. Paul revere and other riders sounded the alarm, and several militiamen mobilized to intercept the column. Confrontations at Lexington town started the battle. The British quickly retreated under heavy fire.

- British general, John Burgoyne, had a plan to defeat the American colonies. He planned to split the colonies through the Hudson river. General Horatio Gates lead the American troops. As the British advanced south American troops attacked. The British retreated to Bennington, which was gaurded by American troops. 500 British soldiers were captured

- General Nathanael Greene had taken command over the ACA in the south. Before he took command, America had been losing the war in the south. However, Greene had new tactics to use to win this war. At this time, General Charles Cornwallis, and the British army were retreating to Yorktown
