Step 4: Institutionalization,President Lyndon B. Johnson signs the Civil Rights Act of 1968
President Lyndon B. Johnson signed many Civil Rights acts. Including the last act in the Civil Rights movement, the Civil Rights Acts of 1968. This is ultimately what officially ended the movement, but colored people are still fighting for equality today.
