- A doctor in the waiting and a gentlewomen enter.
- "I've seen her rise up from her bed ,open her closet take out a notebook write on it, read it and seal it up and then go back to bed, continue on with her sleep the entire time."
- "I haven't seen any evidence of what you are talking about, when was the last time you saw her sleep walking ?"
- Lady Macbeth enters, holding a candle.
- "Look here she comes ! This is exactly how she always looks and I swear it , she is fast asleep. Watch her ! Keep hidden."
- "How did she get that candle ?"
- Lady Macbeth talking in her sleep, doctor asking questions.
- "Listen ! She's talking, I'll write down what she says, so I'll remember better !!"
- *Rubbing her hands* "Come out! OUT I DEMAND ! It's time to do it now. Hell is murky ! Nonsense my lord nonsense ! You are a soldier, yet you afraid ? Why should we be scared when no one can lay the guilt upon us ? Who would have thought the old man would have had so much blood in him ?
- Discussing what was seen about and heard about Lady Macbeth because the gentlewoman keeps noticing that she is acting very strange and says things and does things for at least a couple nights.
- Doctor and Gentlewoman over hear Lady Macbeth.
- What a heavy sign ! Her heart is carrying a heavy weight. I wouldn't want a heart like hers even if you made me queen. I hope she's saying she's well, sir !
- Gentlewoman describing why Lady Macbeth always is caring a candle around with her but she said it always has to have a light next to her those are always her orders. Saying how her eyes are always open but doesn't see and constantly rubbing her hands.
- Lady Macbeth exits.
- Is this true ?
- Lady Macbeth basically is saying the thane of fife had a wife and questioning where is she at now, and that her hands can never be cleaned no more of that. Doctor saying that he heard something he was not supposed to.
- Doctor and Gentlewoman exit.
- "Will she go to bed now ?Yes, right away.Evil rumors are going around. I have a opinion but I don't dare to say it out loud.Goodnight, good doctor."
- Doctor is pretty sure that Lady Macbeth has a sickness or something like that because he has never seen something like that ever but he knows people that sleepwalk but are not guilty of anything.
- She said something she shouldn't have said, I'm sure of that !
- I still have the smell of blood on my hands, all of my perfumes couldn't make my hands smell better.
- Lady Macbeth is bringing up the death of Banquo like if it is normal.
- To bed, to bed ! Come, come, come give me your hand. What's done cannot be undone. To bed, to bed !
- "Wash your hands. Put your nightgown, don't look so frightened ! I tell you again, Banquo is buried. He can not come put his grave.
- Doctor is being way more concerned about Lady Macbeth and that people with guilt minds will confess their secrets to their pillows as they fall asleep. How Lady Macbeth needs more then a doctor she may need priest.
