Mr. Cheggs eats a fly and has energy to hop to a cave before winter comes.
Homeostasis
As it gets cold Mr. Cheggs struggles to find shelter. He is a mature grown frog (we know this because he was once an egg, then a tadpole and now a frog) so we know he can reproduce with sperm, but it is to cold for that now. He needs to find a cave soon.
Evolution
Mr.Cheggs found a cave!! But it is getting so cold that his red blood cells are freezing. He needs those to bring oxygen around his body and if he loses too many he can most definitely die.
Genetic code and stimulus
Mr. Cheggs needs to maintain his body systems. The way he makes sure his blood cells don't freeze to much is that he mixes urine and glucose in his blood which then acts as an anti-freeze for his cells..
The reason he can creat this homemade anti-freeze is that over time his body has adapted to winter, therefore, allowing him to create his own homemade anti-freeze.
Mr. Cheegs is a wood frog, In his genetic code he has brow skin, this is because his genes told his cells to create a specific amount of protein and it made appear this way. It is now warm and my body knows to come out, This is because I have stimulus, and when the environment changes I react.
