- The start of a new revolution
- Inventions like the spinning jenny, the cotton gin and etc, were made which was a major change and the start of the industrial revolution
- We did it!! the steam engine is finished !Imagine the amount of money we make !
- Steam engine
- I'm sorry sir, but its not much we can do. We live too far away.
- A recurring problem was that workers couldn't make it to work on time because they living so far away from these factories and they could afford house near by because they were to expensive
- RIGHT, and how do you expect us to afford these high dollar houses and provide for our family and you pay us pennies, nickels and dimes!!??
- Why are you late! I told you to be here at 6:00 am sharp!? No excuses!
- Urbanization
- I, as your superior, will be taking this land and your job and replacing them with machines
- In the beginning of the industrial revolution , farmers were replaced by new inventions like the steam engines and the cotton gin. This led to most if not all farmers moving to the cutes to get new jobs working at factories.
- Luckily for ya'll, there are many new job opportunities in the city
- But how would we make a living?!
- Farms v.s Machines
- Apartment-like buildings were builded in order to make affordable living spaces for people that lived far out, but these spaces were not safe for humans to live in. which led to a lot of people getting sick and dying.
- so now that i have given you a home,, i will need more employees . SO tell your kids and wives to come help!!
- now that you live much closer to your job, you have no excuse to be late. Even your family can live with you,amazing !
- Tenements
- Due to the overpopulation and the horrible living conditions of the tenements , people continue to get very sick. Diseases such as smallpox, typhus, and tuberculosis had dire consequences
- I'm sick of this, we work long hours, and live in filthy one bedded rooms and don't even get paid enough to have a filling meal ! We need to stop this madness
- RIGHT!!! but what will we do?
- Boycott
- As time went on, workers were treated worst and worst. . So they created multiple groups and grathered people and decided to do something about, so they protested and boycotted
- WE refuse to live underpaid, in dumps, and in poor working conditions. WE WANT CHANGE!
- You know what , FINE Ill give you what you want
- 8 hours of sleep
- After afew protest they finally got better treatment get 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work time, and 8 hours to do what their heart desire
- End of the Revolution
