- Once upon a time , there was a spider named Anansi, Anansi was a greedy spider who loves food and loves to taste other people's food.His friend the Rabbit then asked if he would like to stay for dinner , Anansi then asumes that his friend the rabbit will give him chores.Anansi then tells Rabbit that he would love to stay but is very busy , Anansi then tells rabbit " Why don’t I spin a length of web and tie one end around my leg and the other end around your cooking pot? That way you can tug on the web when the greens are cooked and I will come running back for dinner.’ Rabbit agreed and thought it was a great idea .
- A few moments later Anansi then finds himself walking past another one of his friends Monkey.And it just so happened that his friend Monkey A few momments later Anansi then vists another one of his friends Monkey it so happened that Monkey was also in the middle of preparing his dinner His friend Monkey asks Anansi if he would like to stay for dinner.Anansi then asummes that his friend Monkey will also want him to do chores Anansi tells Monkey that he is very busy and that he would love to stay but can't and then tells Monkey ,Why don’t I spin a length of web and tie one end around my leg and the other end around your cooking pot? That way you can tug on the web when the greens are cooked and I will come running back for dinner.’ Monkey thought it was an exellent idea so he agreed , Anansi then leaves his friends house
- Anansi then vists 6 more of his friends Anansi then vists 6 more of his friends all of whom were busy preparing A few moments later he then vists 6 more of his friends that were all cooking their meals He visited the tortoise, the hare, the squirrel, the mouse, the fox, and last of all he visited his good friend, the hog.And on each vist he said the same things and he had spun a web on all of his friends cooking pots.And so it was that all eight of Anansi’s legs were attached to different cooking pots by Then the greedy spider Anansi had tricked all eight of his friends he made excuses so if his friends asked him to do chores he woundn't do any because he made exuses and assumed that his friends were going to make him do chores.Just then, Anansi felt one of the lengths of web tug at his leg.ANansi then said That must be the rabbit with his tasty dish of greens,’ thought the greedy spider.
