- Dr. John Dolittle became very busy in Africa for there were many sick monkeys and other animals like orangutans, chimpanzees and tigers etc. The next day many animals were dying and needed nursing so he sent messages to animals of the jungle. The proud and chowder-headed leader of the lions vetoed to help and said very audaciously, ''THIS LITTLE GUY IS ASKING ME TO WASH THE MONKEYS AND MAKE THEM ASEPTIC! Then the dexterous doctor replied, ''Dear exalted leader of the lions, if you don't help me now in taking care of these sick monkeys and if the lions become sick one day, I will refuse to help them too. The lions only make trouble and doesn't need help at any time! He replied.The doctor was shaking in one's shoes.
- As the dotish lion reached his den he got scared when he saw his two little cubs lying on the floor but one of them seemed quite queasy.When he saw his wife, the queen lioness she was very sad and said, Our cub hasn't eaten a thing since last night and I don't know what to do with him.''The lion said quite proudly what he said to the doctor. The queen lioness got foaming at the mouth and kicked him out of the den and shouted, You gormless lion, I thought you went to that proficient doctor to help as there were no animals to do the nursing, you are a fool, go to that man at once!! As he went back to the doctor he said, Have got any help yet? No I'm exceedingly worried He said Oh my cub extremely sick and unwell, can you help me, please? The leader of the lions asked. Sorry, I can't help you. until you help me The doctor said.
- After requesting the doctor finally agreed and helped him. in return from the leader of the lions he called every animal of the jungle. The doctor became like a dog with two tails.Soon, animals started recovering and the doctor died after 4 days.
