Age of exploration

- Portugal started the age of exploration. Spain, England, France, and Holland followed them. They wanted to travel because they wanted their own glory. They also wanted to spread their religion and they wanted wealth, like gold and other riches.
- Lets go get spices from Spain.
- While we are traveling let's explore the world and spread our religion.
- There was new technologies when traveling, like the caravel ship. The ship was fast, big, and you didn't have to man handle it a lot. There was also compasses, and lead weights. When you found new land, there would be so much resources, like gold, iron, trees, and a lot more.
- If my compass is right, we are heading west.
- This new caravel ship is amazing.
- There was dangers while riding a ship, like diseases, bad food, bacteria, getting lost, and bad storms. There was also fake dangers that the crew members made up like, Floating mountains, sea monsters and melting when you got to close to the equator.
- I don't feel so well.
