Saul's Development as a Hockey Player Chapters 24-30

Saul started off his journey as a hockey player with simple stickhandling with a horse turd. It was his first taste of the work required to play like the other boys.
I became a bird. An ungainly bird at first, but a creature of the air nonetheless
Saul's love for hockey was so strong that he managed to find a way to practice during the summer, thus allowing him to continue to practice and develop as a hockey player
"The higher level of play with these bigger and better teams did not stall me. Instead, it pushed me to greater heights" (111)
As his training continues, Saul learns to better harness his gift of the seer. He can activate his gift whenever he wants granting him a clear vision amongst the chaos of the game
Saul's development switches from stickhandling to skating. Saul's thoroughly enjoys the experience. The wings and clouds represent that Saul is metaphorically flying to new heights as a player when he skates.
As Saul continues to play hockey, he consistently improves at the game as well. The image shows Saul being powered up with new energy because his skill level increases at a rapid rate.
