- In Sophie's room
- While laying down Sophine hears screaming from Martine, rushes over to her, shook her and woke her up
- *Doll Martine gave Sophie*
- In the living room where Martine is sleeping on a sofa bed
- Sophie:'Ou byen? Are you aright?'
- Martine:'It is the night,' 'Sometimes, I see horrible visions in my sleep.'
- Martine:Covers her face with her hands and turns away when she sees Sophie but shakes head head to say yes
- Sophie:*Tantie Atie would have know all the right herbs*
- Sophie:'Do you have any tea you can boil?'
- In the living room where Martine is sleeping on a sofa bed
- Martine;'Don't worry, it will pass'(avoiding eye contact with Sophie). 'I will be fine. I always am. The nightmares they come and go.'
- Sirens and loud radios blaring outside the building
- Sophie;Climbs on the bed to try and soothe her.
- Martine pulls the sheet over their bodies and her voice faded as she drifts to sleep.

- 'What is it? Are you scared too?' 'Don't worry.' 'You can sleep here tonight if you want. It's okay I'm here.'
- Martine;*Grabs Sophie's face and squeezes it between her palms*
- Sophie:Leans back into the bed, listening to Martine snore
- Soon, morning light came creeping through the living room window. Sophie stares at the ceiling while listening to Martine's heart beat along with the ticking clock.

- Martine:*Whispers*Sophie with her eyes closed. Sophie I'll never let you go again.
