- What lives in the woods is a thrilling book with a mystery that starts in a creepy mansion. Ginny, the main character and her new friend, Will, try to figure out what has happened in the mansion.
- CLIMAX
- Ginny and her family move to a place for the summer called Woodmoor Manor in Saugatuck, Michigan. Ginny and her brother, Leo, aren't to happy to leave their home in Chicago.
- FALLING ACTION
- Ginny goes to the bookstore and sees a typewriter that already has a letter written on it "G". She also sees a familiar face, Will. After coming back to check the typewriter, it spelled out "GET OUT".
- RESOLUTION
- Ginny has been experiencing some creepy stuff like seeing a mannequin move, doors closing shut, and hearing a faint ringing noise which she comes to realize is actually a song playing but nobody put any music on
- After looking around the house, Ginny and Will find clues as to why she has been seeing and hearing things. They found out that this house is actually a century old and there are rumors of the mansion about "Hicthhikers" and "Shadowpeople".
- To stop everything that was happening in Woodmoor Manor, Ginny asked her dad to throw a party in the ballroom which is what the person who made the house wanted.
