- Daughter of invention have 3 main characters: narrator, mother, and the father. The setting is in the USA. It's about the father having a problem with the narrator's speech, so they mother decided to help her. Inner conflict: The father getting nightmares that the D.R is still after them. External conflict: The father not liking the narrator's speech and rips it, so the narrator got angry and called him chapita.
- Climax: The climax of the story is when the father read the narrator's speech, and he got angry. He thought that this speech was inappropriate and offensive to the teachers. He rips the speech paper, which cause the narrator to outburst and called him chapita.
- At the end, the mother decided to help the narrator by writing a new speech to please her father and more appropriate for the teachers. The father felt guilty for his actions and to decided to buy a typewriter to support the narrator's dream of becoming a writer. The father approved the new speech and the narrator felt happy after her father bought her the typewriter she dreamed of.
