Ask A Question
To start the scientific method, you need to ask a question. In the Black Plague, the question to ask was, what is the effect of new technology and resources on the amount of deaths the plague causes nowadays compared to the 1500's?
3
Research
For the Black Death Plague, the people didn't have great resources, so most of the time people who got the plague, did end up dying. However nowadays, there are very minimal deaths due to the resources we have.
The next step is to research. When you research, the variables in the question, will help you create a hypothesis.
4
After the research is complete. You need to make a hypothesis.
Hypothesis
The hypothesis I am going to make for the Black Plague is, if the technology affects the amount of deaths from the Black Plague then then deaths nowadays are minimal compared to back then.
5
Experiment
Because we cannot experience from the past, we can use charts and graphs to show the change in deaths. Around 25 million people died during the plague and now,
The next step in the process is to experiment using the independent and dependent variables.
6
Data and Analysis
The next thing to do is to collect data. Using the data, you can see if it matches your hypothesis or goes against it.
For the Black Plague. The data is the deaths in the 1500's were in the 25 millions and the deaths now are 0.
Conclusion
Finally, you have to have a conclusion. This conclusion will sum up everything. Including the variables, your hypothesis and whether it was true or not, the data from the experiment and the result.
After looking over everything I did, I realized my hypothesis was correct. The deaths are minimal as shown in the research, and the data proves it.
