- When Jilly P.'s parents found out they were going to have a deaf baby it got them worried. The did not want to put their baby at the risk of dying if she has to go through surgery. This shows the social issue of deaf because it can make parents worried that something bad might happen. They also don't want to have to learn how to sign.
- This dark skin girl was shot and killed by a police officer. She was in a running club so she went to go practice. She was deaf and when the police officer was yelling for her to stop she could not hear anything. Then the police officer pulled the trigger to his gun. This show the issue deaf because, a police officer killed someone when they did not respond. He did not even try to go up to her and talk to her.
- In the car the boy is deaf and it is hard for them to communicate. So the people are having to use phones to talk to him and ask questions. This supports the social issue because people who don't know how to sign or are not that good at it it is hard for them to communicate.
