Les miserables seems like a truly fascinating work! the plot is strong with solid bases, the narration makes you feel like you truly are in the story, and it handles topics like crime, family and forgiveness with such grace and care!
The main character is Jean Valjean Cosette’s adopted father and an ex-convict who leaves behind a lifeof hatred and deceit and makes his fortune with his innovative industrial techniques.
But what about its characters? every story needs some and it is almost impossible to build a solid story without some truly complex personalities.
Well, i am glad you asked! my book may not contain a wide cast of characters, not as many as other works anyway, but the main cast will surely impress you, it took a lot of time and work to create them, and i am sure you will manage to empathize with at least one of them.
The main antagonist meanwhile, Javert is a police inspector who strictly believes in law and order and willstop at nothing to enforce France’s harsh penal codes. He nurses an especially strong desire to recapture Valjean, whose escapes and prosperity he sees as an affront to justice.
The novel is characterized by a strong current of idealism, and the tone often becomes revolutionary and hopeful. Interspersed with these grand themes is a note of gentle humor.
