The smallest living unit in our bodies in known as a cell. Cells helps our bodies grow based on the DNA. Cells have a process in the nucleus known as transcription where it copies codes (base pairs of nucleotides) from a gene to a mRNA(messenger RNA) molecule. That represents the induvidual traits.
Hi Miss Ann, this is Dr. James, I heard that you were concerned about your hair. What's the problem?
Come to my office, we'll discuss over there.
Hi Mr. James, why can't I have hair color blonde instead of black?
Every person is born with a secret code that was passed on from his or her parents, which is known as DNA. It's a long chain ladder with millions of knots. We have many traits such as color, body shape, hair color, etc, which are coded in DNA. A section of the DNA, known as a gene, is responsible for individual traits like your hair color.
There is something known as proteins, which are the building blocks of the human body. Body structure and traits are made up of proteins. Based on DNA, the right protein structures are created in our bodies.
mRNA does chemical processes in the ribosome of the cell, known as translation where an amino acid chain/ protein is created based on the mRNA sequences. It goes through balance of charges and folds into a 3D structure. One of the protein structures has a function to retain the structure of your hair.
Therefore, the protein structure makes sure that your hair color will remain black. This came from your parents. For this reason, it's not possible for you to have blonde hair.
You too!
Thanks for the explanation Mr. James, have a great day.
