MEDC and LEDC Differences

- In an LEDC
- We have to live in crowded huts. There is no waste system so there is rubbish all about and diseases can spread easily.
- I have to travel very far to just to get water, it takes up almost all my day. I am very lucky to have a bicicle though.
- LEDCs may have bad climates and poor soil to grow crops, giving them a slow start compared to MEDCs that have a good climate and rich soil.
- In an MEDC
- A development idicator is number of doctors per 1000 of population. Tipically an MEDC would have a ratio of 1:1000
- MEDCs take cheep materials from LEDCs and manufacture them into more expensive products that they sell.
- MEDCs have massive stores of food, enough to feed the world, yet citizens in MEDCs do not have food.
