- The Greasers and the Socs meet.
- The fight begins, and an unexpected guest decides to join.
- Hold up!!
- The Greasers finally beat the Socs
- We won, we beat the Socs!
- The Socs and the Greasers line up in a straight line. One of the guy’s stepped up and told the Greasers the rules. The rules are no weapons and only fists. The first to run away loses.
- While the fight was happening, someone called out in the distance saying “Hold up!”. The person who ran up to the Greasers was Dallas Winston. While Ponyboy was getting knocked by a Socs to fight, he asked Dally why he wasn’t in the hospital. Dally replied saying he and Two-Bit talked the nurse into letting them switch. Dally then said, “Don’t you know a rumble ain’t a rumble unless I’m in it?”
- A Greaser all of a sudden yelled joyfully saying that the Socs were running. Meaning, the Greasers have won, since the first to run is the loser. Darry then announced saying “We won,” in a tired voice since he was fighting a lot. The Greasers finally proved themselves and beat the Socs.
