Coach I just missed another field goal, I don't think I can do this anymore! Every time I kick, I get so anxious that I miss. The pressure from my family, team, fans, and recruiters is too much!
Don't worry, everybody misses at some point. It's part of life. Let's try some techniques to work on your anxiety!
What are some of the ways I can help with my nerves and start making kicks again?
First, start by taking deep breaths in and out until your heart steadies.
Lastly, envision the result that you want. No moment is too big for you, you're more than capable. Give it another try.
Next, remember all the hard work and practice you put in to get here. You've earned this! Just stick to the fundamentals and skills that you've developed.
Remember what coach said: Deep breaths, envision the kick going through the posts, I have all the skills necessary. I'M GOOD ENOUGH!
