- Stuthi feels hungry she walks up to the kitchen opens the refrigeratar and debates what to eat between fruits and cheese cake.Cheese cake being her favourite she choose to eat that.
- As sone as she puts the food in to her mouth and starts chowing the food the saliva is relesed.
- The partially digested food. Known as a bolus, then passes through a tube called esophagus . A muscular wave-like motion called peristalsis moves the bolus down the tube.
- The bolus reaches the end of the tube and then lands into the stomach. The bolus is mixed gastric juice to make a thick liquid called chyme.
- The bolus then passes through the stomach to the small interstine. There the chyme is mixed with enzymes and bile to help further break down the food. As the food moves along the small interstine , some of the nutrients are absobed into the blood.
- The food then passes into the large interstine where water is reabsorbed . What is left is food that can't be digested known as feces. Feces leave the alimentary canal through the anus.
