- Midnight at the old man's house
- There has to be someone in the room
- Narrator has been watching the old man sleep every night while the old man doesn't suspect a thing
- If you still think me mad, you will think so no longer when I describe the wise precauitons I took for the concealment of the body.
- The narrator is in the old man's room spying him while he sleeps.
- Villains! dissemble no more! I sdmit the deed! tear up the planks! here, here! it is the beating of his hideous heart!
- The old man heard a noise in his room. He senses someone in the room, but he can't see anyone.
- The narrator finally saw his eye, and completed his plan by killing the oldman. The narrator procedure to finalize by cutting the old man's body body in small parts.
- When the narrator hides the body three police appear because they heard a noise. The narrator shows them the house and takes them to the room. While talking to them he starts to hear the beat of the old mans heart, he starts to get crazy and tells the police he comitted the crime.
