King Midas and the Golden Touch

- King Midas loved gold so much, he went to a god and asked for a golden touch wish. The god agreed but he warned King Midas to be careful of what he wishes for.
- King Midas tried out his golden touch and when he touched his bed, it turned to gold! “Wow!” Yelled King Midas. He turned his whole palace to gold.
- King Midas was hungry and thirsty. He went to eat his feast, but when he grabbed his food, it turned to gold! When he tried to drink water, it also turned to gold! “Oh no! What will I eat or drink now?” Wondered King Midas.
- King Midas was sad. He looked at his food which was no use for him. Just then, his daughter Marigold came running from the garden. “Father!” Said Marigold. And before King Midas could think, “No! Marigold!” Cried King Midas.
