- This tree may look useless but it is most definitely not, along with other trees. This tree, along with many other trees produces most of the oxygen that we breathe/
- The roots of this tree will absorb the extra water runoff from storms that will prevent rivers, lakes, or even streets/cities from flooding
- We also gain many of our resources we need from plants. For example, we get wood from trees. we use this wood to build a multitude of things
- Often times people complain that beavers hurt the environment. However, Beavers actually benefit the environment. Beavers keep green vegetation alive as well as prevent fires. Beavers keep the surrounding area damp to prevent fires.
- Don't be deceived by the size of earth worms. Earth worms greatly contribute to the ecosystem by keeping the ground fertile. We need fertile soil in order for plants and flowers to thrive. That is where earthworms come in.
- Many people don't know how bats actually help our environment. They are a natural pesticide. They balance out the insect population eating up to thousands of bugs and hour
- Bees are huge pollinators. We need flowers for numerous of reasons. Bees help the ecosystem by going flower to flower and pollinating them. When the flowers are pollinated they will be able to grow flowers.
- Birds contribute to the environment similarly to bats. Birds also control the growing number of insects. Without birds or bats the ecosystem would be unbalanced
- We use sheep for their fur. We use sheep fur for many different things. We can process their fur and turn it into cotton which can then be used for jackets, blankets and more.
- Cows produce milk that can then be processed and put in our local supermarkets which will then be in our kitchens and be our source of food. Many people use cow milk for a multitude of things
- This may be sad to hear for some but it is very common that pigs are raised for meet. We use pugs for many different meets including bacon.
