The CRUCIBLE by ARTHUR MILLER
ACT I
Dancing in the Forest
Flying Through the Window
I'll fly to Mama. Let me fly!
What ails you, Betty? Your mama's dead and buried.
The Secret Conversation
You come five mile to see a silly girl fly? I know you better.
I come to see what mischief your uncle's brewin' now. Put it out of mind, Abby.
That night, Reverend Parris caught the girls dancing in the forest. He saw one of them naked and a dress under the tree.
The Psalm
She heard you singin' and suddenly she's up and screamin'
The psalm the psalm! She cannot bear to hear the Lord's name!
Betty tries to fly to her Mama who died a long time ago.
Accusing of Witchcraft
She sends her spirit on me in church: she makes me laugh at prayer!
You will confess yourself or I will take you out and whipyou to your death, Tituba!
This woman must be hanged! She must be taken and hanged!
Abigail and John Proctor have a conversation in Parris' house. Abigail keeps denigrating Elizabeth Proctor- his wife in front of him.
As the psalm was sung downstairs, Betty Parris suddenly claps her hands over her ears and begins whining loudly.
Abigail accuses Tituba of making her drink blood and laugh during prayer in church.
I don’t compact with no Devil!
