- Mathilde is ungrateful for what she already has, She spends her time imaging things she don’t have.

- I'm sorry honey i couldn't find the necklace
- Mathilde was upset here because her husband gave her his coat and she didn't want the girls with expensivecoats to see her so she stormed off from the party.
- Resolution
- I lost your necklace and my husband and I replaced it with a different one
- Oh, I didn't even recognize it but it's ok Mathilde the one I had gave you wasn't real
- Mathilde lost her friend's necklace and she doesn't remember where she had it last.
- Her husband came back home after looking everywhere for the necklace so now they start putting a loan down for a necklace that looks like it and now they become more poor then they were.
- Mathilde confessed to her friend Madame Forestier about losing her necklace after the party and Madame told her that the one she gave her was a fake and wasn't even close to how much they were putting a loan down for.
