- We are the Puritans, a group of English Protestants who wants to make the church ceremonies simpler and who believed it was important to work hard, we struggles against the king who acted as a tyrant.

- MAYFLOWER COMPACT... a Voyage to plant the first Colony in the northern Parts of Virginia; Do by these Presents, solemnly and mutually, in the Presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation ...
- November 21th 1620. We've decided, two months before, to leave England and the persecutions. Today, on our ship; we, the Pilgrims, just signed the Mayflower compact.
- We're going to install a colony there. In a few months, sure we'll found a city, where it will be possible to develop our activities. Why not to name it Plymouth?
- November 26th 1620. We just land. Many of our folks are dying from diseases as scurvy. We need food.
- December 1620. The Indians (= the Wampanoag) help us to maintain, they learned to us how to fish, how to farm... In exchange for it, we protect them against the rival tribes...
- Autumn 1621. Grateful for what they did for us, we decided to invite the autochthons, led by Squanto and Samoset, to share a feast; because we owe salvation to our saviors.
- After the Independance War, in 1789, George Washington will formally decree that Thanksgiving will be celebrated every 26th November.
