- I bet you didn't know that I am part of the membrane-bound cell organelle that contains digestive enzymes. Am also involved with various cell processes and their break down excess or worn-out cell parts. If the cell is damaged beyond repair I can it to self-destruct in a process called programmed cell death, or apoptosis. Which is pretty cool
