- The poem More Than Life is the struggle of a divorced mother and her hard and long fight for custody of her children. In this poem she expresses her feelings about the situation. Sadly the father of her children ended up winning the case.
- She is forced to watch from a distance. She wishes that she would be right alongside them as they experience life. She believes that her children are the ones who suffered the most in this situation.
- Pain
- She dream of her kids every night. She is afraid that they would hate her for never being there for them. But she knows for sure they will be able to see them again one day and all will be okay.
- She dreams of taking away the tears caused by this. She would give up the world only to see them smile. As a mother she wants to be the reason the smile, not cry.
- She promises that if she was there she would block out all the pain and bad dreams that come their way. She wants to be there to guide them in their time of need. And help them get through anything.
- She often dreams of living with them once again. And sharing the happiness along with the sadness. She reminds them and herself she loves them, more than life.
