The narrator gets a quick glance of Usher's last relative alive, Madeline, but the narrator assumes that glimpse of her may have been his last because of her appearance.
NARRATORS POV OF SEEING MADELINE
Narrator not only finds out that they are twins but notices features of Madeline that don't usually occur when someone is dead such has rosy cheeks, her lips aren't unsaturated and she isn't pale. They had up closing her coffin regardless and closing her into the chamber with a loud iron door.

Narrator confirms to hear inaudible noises when they both realize that it's Madeline alive as she falls onto Usher, killing them both.
Narrator starts reading book closest to him to try and get Usher to calm down and settle down the night as each time he reads something, the same thing is occurring in person.
