- When the vote came in form the Electoral College, they had not been able to come up with a President. As the result of this, the candidates would go to the House of Representative. Clay removed himself from the race are this point because he thought he would have an unfair advantage.

- After Clay dropped out of the race, he decided to help John Quincy Adams to become the President. In return, Adams appointed Clay as the Secretary of state.

- Don't vote for him, he is a cheater!!
- Even though Andrew Jackson was the most popular out and had the most support, Adams won the Election. This upset Jackson, he later called Adams a cheater making his years in office miserable.
- Elcetoion of 1828
- Because of Jackson calling Adams a cheater due to the corrupt bargain, many of Adams proposals did not go through and did not pass.
- Denided
- During the election of 1828, Jackson and Adams used mudslinging. This meant that they would say bad things about their opponents to try and make them more unpopular.
- Jackson won the presidential elcetion due to the support of the farmers and how many people dislaked John Adams.
