- The movement emerged in Europe and it ended with years of darkness, allowing new ideas to develop. The ideas during this movement talked about equality for all.

- There were manyarguments that went from empiricism to rationalism. There were also disputes over different ideologies.
- The French Revolution was a social and political process that happened in 1789.
- A very important contribution of thisRevolution was the Declaration of Rights of Men and Citizens, which was defined as personal and communal rights. Rights of men are understood as universal.
- This Declaration was approved in August 1789. There were many accomplishments,for example the abolition of the absolutist memory andthe division between church and state.
