- The popularity of Charles I decreased when the Parliament did not offer/give Charles I his money, he instead dissolved it and completely ignored the petition of right.
- Restoration of the Stuart Monarchy
- The United States of America fought against the Confederate States of America because of a long term disagreement over the institution of slavery.
- Glorious Revolution
- He was overthrown because the Rump parliament had sentenced Charles 1 to death, he was executed on January 30th, 1649. King Charles 1 was sentenced to death because Cromwell purged Parliament of any people who did not support him.
