- The Legend of Lake Toba
- A long time ago there was a poor farmer. He's alone in his house near his rice fields along with other farmers.
- Good morning to all of you!
- One day, He decided to catch some fish for dinner. But he was surprised because the fish can speak.
- Please don't kill me! If you let me live and put me into your rice field, you will have your dinner served in the table.
- No problem!
- The farmer then visited the rice field where she put the fish and he was surprised that the fish became a pretty woman. The woman offered to be his wife in one condition.
- I can be your wife but you can not tell our children that I was once a fish.
- You have my word
- One day, the mother asked his son to bring lunch to his father. But unfortunately the son ate the fathers lunch. Feeling hungry and knowing that the lunch was eaten, the father said words that are not meant to be said.
- I'm sorry father.
- You are a naughty boy! well it justifies that you're a son of a fish!
- The boy told his mother about what his father said and she realized that he broke his promise. Because of that, She left his husband the farmer and the big tide came which caused the town to flood and became a lake. The lake which is called "The Lake Toba".
