- The Death of King Louis
- On January 21, 1793 King Louis was sentenced to Death.His death was to be handled by the guillotine.This was the first time in over a thousand years that the french people were not ruled by a monarch.Not only was the king executed but the queen was also executed by the guillotine on the same day.The reason for his death was that he was found guilty of treason

- Through the time of September 1793- July 1794 there was a violent outbreak.The Revolutionary Government decided to take harsh measurements against those who were suspected to be against the revolution.Many executions then followed.300,000 suspects were arrested and over 17,000 were officially executed and over 10,000 people died in prison without trial.

- The end of Reign of Terror
- On july 27,1794 the reign of terror finally ended.Robespierre and his allies were found and attacked at the Hotel de Ville and arrested.Soon after they were all executed by the guillotine.While being executed the crowd cheered with happiness.

- On November 9th-10th Napoleon seized power in a coup d´etat. The coup resulted in the replacement of the extant governing body.Napoleon has all the real power while the two other consuls were figureheads
