- THE FLOOD THAT CHANGED LIFES

- In Henan, China, Me and my brother Jake decided to visit my grandparent’s house. We came back from collage and decided to surprise our grandparent’s. At Afternoon we decided to go to their house, it took us about thirty minutes to arrive there. We knocked the door and they were so happy that we were at the door. They both hugged each of us and we all greeted each other. We sat for a bit, then I suggested to make some dessert because we were all hungry. “What do you guys want for dessert?” I asked, “I am craving for some cake!” said my grandpa, “A chocolate cake!” Grandpa added. “Okay, I will bake the most delicious cake ever!” I replied. I baked a cake and everyone loved it! We all sat and ate. Then it was getting late, so we decided to go back to our house.
- The next day, Me and my brother were watching news on the tv. The weather reports announced that there will be heavy rain. “I am worried about our grandparent’s; we should inform them.” Jake said. “Yeah, I was thinking that too.” I replied. I called my grandparent’s and informed them about the heavy rain. It started to drizzle, then a lot of rain was pouring down. After a while, the weather reports announced that the heavy rain caused a flood! Me and my brother started to prepare ourself for the flood. We brought flood survival kits, some food, and flashlights. We also made sure to lock all the windows and doors. The water was getting in the house but luckily it wasn’t that bad.
- The news reports announced that they will build dams all around Henan, and they will take care of all the water the flood caused.After a couple of days, All the dams were built, and some flood walls were built too.
- My grandparents called us and said if they could come for a visit since they were leaving to go on a trip, I informed them that they can come to our house whenever they wanted. Before they arrived by about an hour, Me and jake decided to bake the chocolate cake I baked a couple of days ago, because they loved it and we also decided to bake a pizza for the main course. After an hour, they arrived at our house and we all greeted each other and helped them go up the stairs, they were so happy we baked the cake they both loved. We all started eating, then we started to talk about the flood that happened a couple of days ago. After an hour and a half, we all ate dinner and the they left so they could get their things ready for their upcoming trip.
