You know anything about the cell membrane and its function?
Passive and active transport are the two movements. Active uses energy to move, while passive doesn't need energy it uses a protein to move through the cell membrane.
Also endocytosis captures and engulfs substances and brings it into the cell.
I know that exocytosis takes things out of the cell like particles.
Protein channel, phospholipid heads, cholesterol, and also molecular pumps.
The cell membrane is made up of a phospholipid bi-layer. what are the components of this?
Faciillated diffusion and Osmosis correlate. Facillated diffusion uses a protein to transport.
Osmosis is facillitated diffusion but it moves water molecules.
Simple I remember is diffusion without a protein present.
So types of passive transport are osmosis, facilitated and simple difusion. And active is endo- and exocytosis. What moves around larger things?
Bulk Transport is a transport that moves large and solid substances.
Thanks so much I now know a to about the cell membrane and its functions.
Don't forget about those transports!
