Liesel's beliefs also do not fit that of most people in Germany. She did not support Nazi Germany ideas and praised books and reading about all types of people. Australia can PULL her to move by having more opportunity for her education. Australia is a multicultural country with good education.
After WW2 Germany was suffering and had no money. Australia on the other hand was a land full of opportunity for Max and Liesel. It was a prosperous country after the war. They could both immigrate to Sydney and start new. This is the last PULL factor.
