- In this scene we introduce the character, setting, and story. You have the two parents, George and Lydia. And you have the two children, Wendy and Peter. The setting is, they're in the house. And this is the story of what happened.
- Falling Action
- The problem in the story is that, there is this room they call the "nursery." The nursery is a technological room, that Wendy and Peter love to go to. This nursery has lions that like to hunt. And Wendy's and Peter's parents tell them not to go into the nursery because of how dangerous it is.
- Resolution
- The parents go to their room to change clothes. THey agree to let their children one more moment in the Veldt. The children start screaming. The parents think something is wrong with their kids.
- Theme
- The parents go see what happened to their kids. When they get to the nursery, they see the lions coming closer to their children.
- The children have a picnic while their parents are eaten by lions in the veldt.
- The theme of this short story is that people are afraid of change.
