- We can light the fire again. You should have been with us Ralph.
- There was a ship. Out there. They might have seen us. We might have gone home.
- You could have had everyone when the shelters were finished. But you had to hunt.
- We needed meat.
- The Job was too much. We needed everyone
- Ralph, Piggy, and Simon see Jack and other boys from a distance and notice that the fire is out due to them hunting a pig rather than watching the fire.
- Ralph goes and confronts Jack, but Jack is very proud of himself and doesn't wat to accept that Ralph is right.
- Ralph continues and tells Jack why the fire needed to be kept going.
