- THE STAMP ACT IS A LAW THAT WAS AMDE SO THAT THE BRITISH COULD REDUCE THE DEBT THEY WERE IN FROM THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR IT DIID END UP BRINGING A SENSE OF UNITY TO THE COLONISTS BUT VIOLENT PROTESTS GOT OUT AND CAUSED TROUVLE
